H. R. 218 amended to H.R.6105

Mr. Donovan, et al, now that you have secured a line in the November election, for the next four years in Congress with some help from NYPD both Active and Retired. I urge you, could you please see your way clear to support US, so as we can see our way clear to further support you??? Read this and understand this is about fire arm trained Retired ( LEOS) Law Enforcement Officers. NOT SOME QUICK DRAW MCGRAW. Consider we are in troubled times with the influx of undesirables’, hell bent on attacking the innocent public. Again as your constituents both Verrazano 10-13 Association up to and including NYPD LBA. please support the new H.R. 6105.

As you know the Society’s reform efforts regarding HR 218, has been turned into H.R. 6105 in the House of Representatives.

Please use the link below to contact your Congressman and urge them to support this bill. When you enter your address and zip code, the link will connect you to your congressional representative. You will have to note a topic which will be either Judiciary or Law Enforcement. Subject line should be "HR6105 Co-Sponsorship." Your comments should address the fact that you are a current or former law enforcement officer and a constituent. Urge your member of Congress to become a co-sponsor of this bill as it greatly improves current concealed carry laws by easing restrictions on carrying for current and retired law enforcement officers. These law enforcement professionals are in every community throughout the country and have completed extensive training to properly handle and utilize firearms. Properly armed they can greatly assist in keeping America safe.

For those of you who are represented by Representative Don Bacon (NE) – please thank him for introducing this important legislation. If your Representative is either Scott Perry (PA-04) or John Rutherford (FL-04), please thank them for being original co-sponsors for H.R. 6105, the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) Reform Act.

Please forward this message to family members, others law enforcement members, and friends who are concerned about keeping our country safe.

I have copied and pasted the below information which is recommended language to be added and/or struck from the original bill (HR 218). It will give you an idea of what the bill will say.

The new bill (HR 6105) would amend HR 218 enabling police officers and retired police officers to carry concealed at schools, on Amtrak, and in National Parks; as well as carrying a magazine of any capacity. But I too would like to see an official summary.
